Medical Center Neighborhood Fund
About the Fund

Welcome to the Medical Center Neighborhood Fund:
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center, and the New York State Psychiatric Institute have long had a very special relationship with the Washington Heights and Inwood community. This is home to many of our employees, patients and students and we are a critical part of the neighborhood. Our position as a leading academic medical center depends, in part, on our maintaining a strong collaborative relationship with our friends and neighbors. To foster this bond, we created the Medical Center Neighborhood Fund in 1987, and today we’re writing to you with hope for your support of our community.
By supporting the Neighborhood Fund we can help distribute critical grants to local nonprofit organizations in our neighborhood. Programs that have benefited from the fund include food pantries, low-cost day care, after-school programs for youth, and activities for seniors in area senior centers.
Please join us in making a commitment to our neighbors. One hundred percent of the money raised for the Neighborhood Fund is distributed to the community…our organizations cover all costs! The program is administered by staff volunteers; our panel of volunteers reviews and approves requests for funds and performs yearly site visits to monitor progress. You may even consider becoming a site visitor to see firsthand the wonderful work being done by our local community based organizations.
To make a gift, simply click on the MCNF logo above, fill out and return the information form. Checks should be made payable to the “Medical Center Neighborhood Fund” or you may donate by payroll deduction or credit card. Anything you can give will be helpful.
Thank you in advance for your gift.
Sincerely,

Lee Goldman, M.D. Jeffrey Lieberman, M.D. Herbert Pardes, M.D.
