Vision Benefits

Vision benefits are available to all students, and spouses enrolled in the Columbia University Student Health Insurance plan. Coverage provides access to discounted prices for many eye care products, including sunglasses, contact lenses, non-prescription sunglasses, contact lens solutions and other eye care accessories. Plus, you can receive up to a 15% discount on LASIK surgery (the laser vision correction procedure). A listing of participating providers is available through the DocFind feature.

Voluntary Aetna Vision Preferred Plan

We are pleased to announce Aetna Student Health is offering an Aetna Vision Preferred plan to Columbia University students and their eligible dependents for the 2023-24 academic year. Enrollment in this voluntary vision plan is open to all registered students and their eligible dependents. Coverage is effective January 1, 2024.
