September 8, 2020

SHS shares these resources to help you understand processes for testing, self-isolation, quarantine, and travel protocol.

  • COVID-19 Testing Program: CUIMC students who have symptoms or are concerned about an exposure should schedule an appointment with Student Health Service through the health portal. This testing program refers to PCR testing, not antibody testing.
  • Isolate versus Quarantine: The guidance in this handout is for people who have no fever or respiratory symptoms.
  • How to Quarantine: Have you been recommended to quarantine due to close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 or having recently returned from a destination with high prevalence of COVID-19? Use this guide for specific recommendations and strategies.
  • How to Isolate: Have you been recommended to quarantine due to close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 or having recently returned from a destination with high prevalence of COVID-19? Use this guide for specific recommendations and strategies.
  • Student Travel Protocol: The Columbia University Travel policy states that all University sponsored travel for students is currently suspended. Students are urged to postpone all personal domestic travel but are approved for personal or family emergencies, such as illness or death.
