Thank you for visiting the website for the Residency Program in General Psychiatry at Harlem Hospital H+H, affiliate of the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
The goal of our residency program is to train competent psychiatrists who are well educated in all areas of psychiatry to enable them pursue careers in research, clinical care, education and obtain American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABPN) Certification.Our residency program’s affiliation with the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University,  one of the preeminent Departments of Psychiatry in the world,  coupled with the wide spectrum of clinical cases seen in our community hospital in Harlem, NY, make our residency program an excellent place to train. This is a great time to become a psychiatrist and our department encourages motivated individuals who demonstrate a genuine interest in psychiatry and are devoted to hard work and life long learning to apply to our program. We pride ourselves in having a highly diversified and international residency program with residents from all the continents represented.
