Vagelos Education Center Wins 2017 AIANY Design Award

For their work in creating the Roy and Diana Vagelos Education Center, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Gensler, and SCAPE were named winners of the coveted 2017 Best in Competition Award from the American Institute of Architects New York (AIANY). The architects also received an Architecture Honor Award.

The annual AIANY Design Awards competition recognizes outstanding architectural design by AIANY members, New York City-based architects in any location, and architects who create projects in New York City.

This year's winners were selected from 379 entries across four categories and chosen by an independent jury of architects, educators, critics, and planners from outside New York City.
