Temporary Campus-wide Steam Interruption, Apr. 18-19

April 8, 2015

In an effort to repair leaks and perform necessary maintenance on the central boiler systems, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital will conduct a campus-wide steam shutdown from 10 p.m. Saturday, April 18, to noon Sunday, April 19.

During this time, there will be no hot water, heat, sterilization, autoclaves, cage washes, steam tables, or dishwashers available in the following buildings:

  • William H. Black Building
  • College of Physicians and Surgeons
  • Vanderbilt Clinic
  • Department of Health (600 W. 168 Street)
  • Georgian Residence
  • Presbyterian Building
  • Hammer Health Sciences Center
  • Allan Rosenfield Building
  • Eye Institute Annex

All services will be restored by Sunday afternoon. In case any issues arise during the temporary shutdown, mechanics from CUMC Facilities Management and representatives from NYP’s Office of Facilities Operations will be on duty.
