For Students

Columbia University Medical Center's on-campus accommodations are a practical and cost-effective way to live in Manhattan. All our residential buildings are located on campus, within easy walking distance of academic buildings, labs, the library, the Bard Athletic Center, and public transportation.

Eligibility

You're eligible to apply for CUMC on-campus housing if you are:

  • A newly accepted student who will be enrolled full-time in one of the following Columbia University schools or programs: the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons; the College of Dental Medicine; the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences; the School of Nursing; the Mailman School of Public Health; or the programs in Human Nutrition, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy
  • Or: if you are a current student enrolled full-time in one of the schools, colleges, or programs listed above.

We provide on-campus housing to full-time students only. To remain in CUMC housing, you must maintain full-time matriculated student status in an approved CUMC academic program. If your status changes to part-time, you'll be asked to leave CUMC housing.
