MTA Stairwell Repairs

The MTA will be conducting repairs to the following subway station entrances:

  • The subway entrance located at 168th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue (next to the Russ Berrie building) will close beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, October 26 and will remain closed for approximately six months while the repairs are completed.
  • The subway entrance located at 169th Street and Broadway will be partially closed beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, October 26 and will remain partially closed for approximately six months while the repairs are completed.

The subway station entrances located at 168th Street and Broadway and 169th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue will remain open while the MTA completes its repairs. Access to the ADA elevator located at 168th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue will also remain available. Station agent booth access and MetroCard vending machines throughout the station will remain operational throughout the repairs.

During this time, there may be periods of increased noise and vibration near where the repair work is being completed. Please observe all posted signage in and around the subway station.
