Student Health Service announces the hiring of a new Director, Heather Moon, for the AI:MS program.

Heather graduated from the University of Vermont with a major in Psychology and completed her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is a licensed Mental Health counselor. For the past three years she worked as a Substance Abuse Clinician at the Somerville, Massachusetts Mental Health Association. She also worked at the Marino Center for Progressive Health, which combined psychiatric and psychological counseling services with those provided by physical therapists, acupuncturists, massage therapists and chiropractors.

Heather is also a nationally ranked competitive rower. She recently relocated to New York City, and we are delighted to welcome her to Columbia University Medical Center. She will work closely with student peer counseling, as well as with the Center for Student Wellness and the clinicians in Student Health Medical and Mental Health Services. Her office is located in 102 Bard, Telephone 212-305-3989.

The AI:MS office is open Monday-Wednesday-Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Tuesday-Thursday from 11 am – 7 pm.

Walk-In Hours are Mondays - Fridays 10 am-1 pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 -7 pm. see Student Wellness AI:MS
