   Acupuncture Services

Acupuncture has been shown to be effective in relieving pain, such as back, muscle and joint pain, and in relieving conditions caused by stress. Student Health Service is delighted to be able to offer onsite acupuncture appointments for students. Services are provided by Leanne Elisha, MS, Lac, a licensed acupuncturist, with a Master of Science degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York, and six year’s experience as an acupuncturist. She is also a student in the School of Nursing Master’s program. Leanne is looking forward both to providing acupuncture services, as well as further educating students about the benefits of this technique in an integrative medicine approach. . Because she is a student, Leanne will not have access to the electronic medical record system used in SHS, and all (paper) acupuncture records will be stored separately in SHS. There is a $30 charge for a 45 minute visit. Appointments are available on Monday and Tuesday afternoons and can be scheduled by calling 212-305-3400 For more information, read our brochure, About Acupuncture.
