The Garcia pulmonary genetics laboratory is located in the Black Building on the Columbia University Medical Center campus in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan. We are a laboratory dedicated to discovering the genetic drivers of lung disease; to translating these findings to positively affect patients; and to using animal models to better understand disease pathogenesis.

About Dr. Garcia

Dr. Christine Garcia received her medical and doctoral degrees from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She continued as a trainee at UT Southwestern and was a member of its faculty from 2005 through 2018. In October 2018, she became the Frode-Jensen Professor in Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and moved her laboratory from Dallas to New York City.
