Amy D. Atkeson, M.D.

Dr. Atkeson, Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, is American Board of Internal Medicine certified in the specialties of internal medicine, pulmonary diseases, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine. An Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of Yale University School of Medicine and former Chief Medical Resident at Columbia University, she has focused her clinical and research interests on vascular disorders and quality of life measures in patients with obstructive sleep apnea, and on assessing efficacy of non-invasive ventilation in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). She has presented her research at numerous international research symposia, and has published research data, review articles and book chapters in numerous prestigious medical journals and textbooks.
