The Arts
Columbia faculty and staff receive a 40 percent discount on single tickets with valid university I.D. at the Miller Theater, a venue for music and other events, 116th Street & Broadway. http://millertheatre.com
Bookstore Discounts
Faculty and staff receive a 10 percent discount on most items at the Columbia University Bookstore, 115th Street & Broadway. (Exceptions include textbooks and software.) Faculty who place their textbook orders with the bookstore receive a 25 percent discount on everything in the store. Faculty and staff also receive a 10 percent discount on most items, excluding medical books, at the CUMC Bookstore, 165th Street & Broadway.

Product Discounts
To find out about discounts on a diverse array of products visit www.columbia.edu/purchasing/pv_list.html. A sample: discounts available on cellular communications (i.e., Sprint); computers (i.e., Apple, Dell, Hewlett-Packard); and transportation: car rentals (Hertz); bus or minivan charters (Golden Touch) and ZipCar. A personal purchase program for office supplies through Corporate Express will be launched soon check Web Site.
Security Programs
Free programs are offered through the Office of Security and Public Safety. Two are listed below. Contact Ricardo Morales at 212- 854-8513 for information.
Glass VIN Etching an I.D. number, called a VIN number, can be etched onto the car for easy identification if stolen. Many insurance carriers offer insurance discounts if car has a VIN number. Check with insurer.
Operation I.D. Personal devices (mp3 players, laptops, calculators) can be engraved with numbers that are registered with the NYPD, making them easier to recover if stolen.
