About Steve Miller

This day is dedicated to promoting medical education and humanism in medicine in memory of Steve Miller, M.D., who was, and remains, an important figure in Columbia University’s College of Physicians & Surgeons medical education program.

Dr. Miller was a 1980 graduate of Columbia College and 1984 graduate of the College of Physicians & Surgeons. He was the Arnold P. Gold Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the College of Physicians & Surgeons, Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian, and Director of Pediatric Medical Student Education until his untimely passing in 2004.
