Alumni Association - History
Members of the faculty of Babies Hospital established the Babies Hospital Alumni Association around 1938. Its objective, according to the By-Laws, "shall be the advancement of the interests of Babies Hospital, the advancement of Pediatric art and science, and the promotion of social activities among its members." The Association consists of approximately 1200 active members ranging in levels. To become an Alumni member you must have done a residency and/or a fellowship at Babies Hospital or must be a faculty member.
Alumni Association - Events
This year's Babies Hospital Alumni Day, on Friday, April 26, 2013, will be highlighted by the Hattie Alexander Memorial Lecture (Grand Rounds) at 11:00 am. Martin J. Blaser, MD, George and Muriel Singer Professor of Medicine, Professor of Microbiology and Director of the Human Microbiome Program at NYU Langone Medical Center, will deliver the lecture. Immediately following the lecture, Dr. John M. Driscoll, Jr., will be presented with the 2013 Distinguished Alumni Award.
