Alumni Association - History
Members of the faculty of Babies Hospital established the Babies Hospital Alumni Association around 1938. Its objective, according to the By-Laws, "shall be the advancement of the interests of Babies Hospital, the advancement of Pediatric art and science, and the promotion of social activities among its members." The Association consists of approximately 1200 active members ranging in levels. To become an Alumni member you must have done a residency and/or a fellowship at Babies Hospital or must be a faculty member.

Babies Hospital Alumni Day – April 25, 2014: The Hattie Alexander Memorial Lecture: 11:00 am, P&S Amphitheatre 1. “Pertussis: What are we going to do about increasing disease?” delivered by Katherine Edwards, MD, Sara H. Sell and Cornelius Vanderbilt Chair in Pediatrics and Director, Vaccine Research Program, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Following the lecture the 2014 Babies Hospital Distinguished Alumnus Award will be presented to Michael Katz, MD.
