Dr. Larson to Receive NINR Director's Lectureship Award.

The National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) has selected Columbia University School of Nursing’s Elaine Larson, PhD, Professor of Pharmacological and Therapeutic Research, to receive the second NINR Director’s Lectureship Award. This award was initiated as part of the year-long observation of the Institute’s first 25 years at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). After careful consideration by NINR, it was determined that Dr. Larson’s globally recognized research in infection prevention and control and nursing; her trans-disciplinary approach, and many other important contributions to health issues made her the ideal choice for this award. The NINR Director’s Lecture is scheduled to take place on January 17, 2012 in the NIH Clinical Center’s Lipsett Amphitheater on the campus of the NIH in Bethesda, Maryland.
