P&S Hosts Student Research Awards

A group of 13 students from medical schools in New York state presented research findings at a day-long presentation and awards program in May. The students were judged by a panel of four representatives from member institutions in the Associated Medical Schools of New York (AMS). Dr. Georgiana M. Jagiello, the Virgil Damon Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and P&S professor of genetics and development, left front, represented Columbia on the panel. The awards program for medical student research is in its 15th year. Dr. Herbert Pardes, vice president and dean, is president of AMS.
