Reception Recognizes Rudin Contribution
A reception for the Rudin family and the Rudin scholars was held May 7 to recognize the family that has made a substantial commitment to supporting health sciences education as well as those who benefit from their contributions.
At the invitation of Dr. Herbert Pardes, vice president and dean, the scholars were able to meet Jack and Susan Rudin, who represent the Louis and Rachel Rudin and Samuel and May Rudin foundations-both supporters of scholarships for students in the School of Nursing, the College of Physicians & Surgeons, and the Center for the Study of Society and Medicine.
The recipients of those scholarships:
Nursing: Andrea Alfaro, Walter Baker, Diane Becker, Margaret Brandwein, Ladislav Decenteceo, Christina Durney, Patricia Henshel, Audrey Lasher, Nancy Mattox, Karen Pekle, Sandra Pezzulli, Deborah Semple, Jacqueline Simpson, and Celeste Springer.
