CPMC Clinical Trials News
The Mini-Grants Program
To promote interest in clinical research among house staff, the CPMC Office of Clinical Trials provides funds for up to 31 Rmini-grantS awards of $1,500 each year. Once submitted, applications are approved on the basis of their contribution to clinical re search, to the development of clinical research skills, or to the advancement of clinical research professional development. Mini-grant recipients for 1994-95 undertook a broad range of projects both on their own and on project teams headed by faculty adv isers. Grants are available for 1995-96 in several departments. Chief residents should be contacted for information on the mini-grants program.
Progress Report
How many clinical trials has the Office of Clinical Trials conducted since its inception in mid-1992? What components make up this office? And which projects does the clinical trials fund support? The answers to those questions and more are in a 40-page p rogress report issued by the Office of Clinical Trials. The report summarizes the goals and organization of the office and its support systems, such as the clinical research pharmacy and the tumor registry.
