Health Sciences In Print and On Line

 CSPH's Media Blitz.
The School of Public Health's Center for Population & Family Health has two new media features: an updated and enhanced web site and a new quarterly newsletter. The web site, at http://cpmcnet.columbia.edu/dept/sph/popfam, offers complete descriptions of all CPFH programs with most of its major papers posted on the site.

Dr. James McCarthy, CPFH director and Heilbrunn Professor of Population & Family Health, says Columbia Internet users can view on line or download reprints of six published reports on the Community Health and Education Program, which coordinates family planning and school-based health clinics in Washington Heights in conjunction with the Ambulatory Care Network Corporation and the departments of pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology.

Popfam, the new quarterly newsletter from CPFH, features news, a seminar calendar, and a list of grants and prizes awarded to its faculty. More information on the newsletter and web site is available by calling Christopher Wanjek, CPFH writer, at 304-5228 (ext. 25228), or by e-mail (wanjek@columbia.edu).

  Handy Mail Box Number Reference.
Ever wondered what mail code to use when sending something through inter-office mail? Almost every department, office, and center within the Health Sciences has its own mail code, which helps the mail room personnel sort mail quickly. But for most people, it's hard to keep track of those codes... until now. Every mail code for the Health Sciences campus is listed on CPMCnet at http://cpmcnet.cpmc.columbia. edu/dept/facilities/mail.htm.

 Work Request On Line.
To send a work request to the Facilities Operations Department, Health Sciences faculty and staff can now submit an order on line. The URL for the form is http://cpmcnet.columbia.edu/ dept/facilities/fowo.htm. Of course, work orders can still be made by phone (305-3573, or ext. 73573).
