Q: If I elect to participate in the University Spending Account (USA), am I allowed to make a change to the amount of deduction during the plan year?

A: Under normal circumstances, you are not allowed to make changes to the withholding amount in a USA. Yet if you experience a life status change-a marriage, divorce, birth, or adoption-you may make adjustments to the level of deduction within the plan year. If you have a life status change and wish to adjust your USA, contact Human Resources.
