Dr. Saul Silverstein, professor and acting chairman of microbiology, heads the division of research education. He is responsible for coordinating the training of the next generation of clinical/laboratory cancer research investigators; planning meetings, seminars, and retreats; and allocating seed funding to new principal investigators to stimulate translational research.
