New Administrators to Work on Improving Quality of Campus Life
Two individuals have been appointed to administrative positions to strengthen operations in key areas at the medical school and medical center. Martha Hooven, now the associate chair for administration for the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, will assume the newly created position of vice dean for administration at P&S. Amador Centeno, now chief of administration for health services at Morningside, will become associate vice president for facilities at CUMC.
Ms. Hooven, known for her ability to set up highly successful administrative operations, will lead a new team assembled to provide administrative and financial support for P&S. She will oversee all the P&S department administrators in clinical and basic science departments and the institutes and centers. Mr. Centeno, who has two decades of experience in healthcare facilities management and administration, will focus on service delivery and on improving the medical center’s existing spaces. He will oversee capital projects for both renovations and new construction.
Both Ms. Hooven and Mr. Centeno will work to improve the quality of life for everyone who spends time on the medical center campus – faculty, staff,
students and visitors.
