Hyea Kim

Hyea is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner as well as an Oncology Certified Nurse at the Center for Lymphoid Malignancies. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lehman College/CUNY, followed by her Masters in Family Nursing Practitioner from Lehman College/CUNY. Hyea began her career in health care in 2001 by working as a nurse in Oncology and Hematology at St. Mary’s Hospital/The Catholic University of Korea. She has also worked at Tawam Hospital in affiliation with Johns Hopkins/UAE and the Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Based on her various international experiences and a vast knowledge of standard of care treatment modalities, she can anticipate patients’ concerns and questions, and promptly address symptom management throughout treatment and during follow up care. Hyea has an innate ability to communicate with patients and family members. She guides patients through the treatment care continuum, and strives to ensure that each patient’s treatment and supportive care is tailored to their unique situation in order to improve the quality of their experience. Hyea is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, both nationally and the local chapter as well as the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
