Android - Connect to Athens

The following instructions allow you to connect a device running the Android operating system to Athens wireless using your Columbia UNI account and its password.

  1. Make sure that you are on the CUMC campus in a location that has Athens wireless available.
  2. Select the Settings option on your Android device.
  3. Select the Wireless & networks link.
  4. Select the Wi-Fi settings link.
  5. Make sure that Wi-Fi is turned on; if not, tap the box to the right of Wi-Fi to enable.
  6. Find athens under the list of Wi-Fi networks, and tap on it to open available settings.

  7. Set the EAP method drop down to TTLS
  8. Set the Phase 2 authentication drop down to PAP
  9. Leave the CA and Certificate settings at (unspecified) and scroll down to the Identity field.
  10. Tap once into the Identity field and type in your Columbia UNI.
  11. Scroll down to the Password field and type in your Columbia UNI's password.
  12. Tap the Connect button at the bottom of the screen to connect to Athens wireless.
