Microsoft 365 Sway


Sway is Microsoft 365's online app for creating and sharing interactive presentations, reports, newsletters, and more. It offers a built-in design engine that easily incorporates everything from basic text to rich media.

Allowing others to view your "Sways" is as easy as sending a link. Regardless of the screen size or type of device your audience uses, Sway automatically adapts for optimal viewing.

Log in to Sway

While Sway can be used by anyone with a Microsoft account (such as Hotmail, Live or Outlook.com), more content and features are available when using it with your current CUIMC/Microsoft 365 email account.

To open it, simply:

  1. Visit a Microsoft 365 portal - this can be Web Outlook, http://portal.office365.com, or go to https://sway.office.com.
  2. Sign in with your full CUIMC email address and its password.
    • If using https://sway.office.com, first click Get Started to reach the sign in prompt. After signing in you can start using Sway.
    • From Web Outlook, first click the App launcher (waffle) icon in the upper left.
    • If you are off campus you will also see a prompt to use Duo for multifactor authentication to complete your sign in.
  3. Click on the Sway icon under the list of Apps.
  4. Use the Sway dashboard that appears to begin creating and sharing.

Sway apps can also be downloaded on Windows 10 from the Microsoft store.
