Remove CUIMC Email from an iPhone or iPad


If you no longer want to use your CUIMC email in on your iPhone or iPad, or your CUIMC email account is having problems including connecting, removing the account is recommended. For issues connecting, removing and then setting up the account in a current, approved app typically fixes any settings that may have become outdated or corrupt. It will also need to be removed if you are switching from the Mail app to the Outlook app for better security and compatibility with the CUIMC email platform, Microsoft 365.

Use steps below based on the app you are using (Outlook or Mail) to fix problems with your CUIMC email account.

IMPORTANT: When removing your email account from the app, some settings such as which items to synchronize, email signatures, and notifications may be removed as well, but can be re-configured after setting up.

Mail app

  1. Tap Settings from your device's home screen, then Mail (or Mail, Contacts, Calendar).
  2. Tap Accounts, then Exchange. Exchange circled in the Mail - Accounts settings
  3. Make sure your CUIMC email address appears in the Account field at the top, then select Delete Account. Delete Account button in the Mail - Exchange window
  4. If prompted, tap Delete again. Your CUIMC email account will be removed from the device.

Restart your device. If needed follow instructions to set up your email account in the Outlook (recommended) or Mail app.

Outlook app

  1. In Outlook tap the menu icon in the upper left, then scroll to the bottom of the screen and select the Settings (gear) icon.
  2. Tap your CUIMC email address that should be shown under the Mail Accounts heading.
  3. Under the Accounts heading select your CUIMC email account.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the window to find Delete Account and tap it.
  5. When prompted, tap Delete again to confirm. The Outlook app will remove the account.

Restart your device. If needed follow instructions to set up your email again.
