Remove your CUMC Email from an iPhone or iPad

If your CUMC email account no longer connects on an iPhone or iPad, the settings it uses may be outdated or corrupt. Removing the account and following current instructions to set it back up again can resolve any issues. We have included instructions for both the default iPhone/iPad Mail app and the Outlook app.

IMPORTANT: When removing your email account from the app, some settings such as which items to synchronize, email signatures, and notifications may be removed as well, but can be re-configured after setting up.

Remove CUMC Email from the Mail app
  1. Tap Settings from your device's home screen, then Mail (or Mail, Contacts, Calendar).
  2. Tap Exchange, then make sure your CUMC email account is listed at the top of the next window.
  3. Delete Account in the iPad Outlook app
  4. Tap Delete Account at the bottom of the window (you may need to scroll down).
  5. If prompted, tap Delete again. Your CUMC email account will be removed from the device.
Restart your device, then follow current instructions to set up your CUMC email account again.


Remove CUMC Email from the Outlook app
  1. With the Outlook app open on your device, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Settings.
  2. iPad Outlook app Settings
  3. Tap your CUMC email account.
  4. Delete Account in the iPad Outlook app
  5. In your CUMC email settings, tap Delete Account. If prompted, tap Delete From This Device.
  6. The device may take a moment to remove the account; if needed exit the Outlook app.
Restart your device, then follow current instructions to set up your CUMC email account again.
