Remove your CUMC Email from an Android Device

If your CUMC email account no longer connects on an Android device, the settings it uses may be outdated or corrupt. Removing the account and following current instructions to set it back up again can resolve any issues.

IMPORTANT: When removing your email account from the app, some settings such as which items to synchronize, email signatures, and notifications may be removed as well, but can be re-configured after setting up.

Remove CUMC Email from the Mail app
Steps below may vary depending on the Android version and mail app used on your device. If needed, please check the app or device manufacturer's website or help files for specific instructions on how to remove an email account.
  1. Tap Settings from your device's home screen, then Accounts.
  2. Tap the account or app type used on your Android device for CUMC email.
  3. Tap your CUMC email account.
  4. Tap the menu in the upper right corner, then Remove account.
  5. Android Account Sync Android Account Sync
  6. Tap Delete Account at the bottom of the window (you may need to scroll down).
  7. If prompted, tap Delete Account again.

Restart your Android device, then follow current instructions to set up your CUMC email account again.
