As the primary technical support group for the Columbia University Medical Center, CUMC IT manages a number of resources for the campus. Required Information Technology procedures meet the high security standards needed an institution that must comply with federal regulations in regards to HIPAA, PHI and other highly sensitive electronic information that most faculty, staff and students access on a regular basis.

Columbia University's Computer and Network Use Policy (www.columbia.edu/cu/policy) shall apply on the Medical Center campus in addition to any other rules and procedures listed on the CUMC IT web site. Violations will subject the individual to discipline, which might include, but are not limited to dismissal of your relationship (employment, student, consulting, etc.) with CUMC facilities and any legal liability.
