New Innovations is the web based program currently being used by third year clerkships at CUMC to record data about their clinical visits. Only faculty, residents and students involved in the clerkships have access to the program.

Check the Support Center within New Innovations - select the Help link in the top toolbar (to the right of the Main menu)
Windows XP SP2 or later, using Internet Explorer 6.0 or later. Firefox on Windows XP SP2 is generally compatible as well.
Macintosh computers are not fully supported by New Innovations, however most are able to use the program using Mozilla's free Camino web browser.
PocketPC PDAs are compatible on:
Windows Mobile 5.0 or higher with ActiveSync 4.0 or higher
Windows Mobile 2003/SE with ActiveSync 3.6 or higher.
Other PDAs are not supported.
To install New Innovatins on your PDA, login to the site and select the PDA Software link from the Main drop down menu in the upper left corner of the screen.

The Username for students is your Columbia UNI.
Faculty and others with access to New Innovations will use their first initial and last name (ex: James Springfield's login Username would be jspringfield).
Your initial password will be emailed to you by the clerkship coordinator of your first rotation.
Please change your default password for New Innovations as soon as possible by going to the Change Your Password link towards the top middle of the Welcome to New Innovations page.
Please use the Forgot Your Password below the fields on the Login to have your password reset and emailed to you, or contact us at extension 5-Help (212-305-4357) for assistance.
Once you log in, make sure to choose your current clerkship rotation by selecting the appropriate department name under the Change Department - Choose a Department/Division drop down menu.
