How can I find out about using Medline and PubMed?

While CUMC IT offers help with many programs, for assistance with these we suggest you contact a Reference Librarian or see the Hammer Health Sciences Library's class calendar for upcoming classes on using Medline, PubMed and CINAHL.

Where can I scan files?

There are three multifunction printers on campus (two in the Hammer building) that have scanning capabilities. Scans can be sent as an attachment to any email address, there is no fee or account required. See the Copying and Scanning at CUMC web site for full information.

How can I reserve the Hammer Computer Classroom or other room on campus?

The 25live event scheduler request form must be used to reserve the Hammer Computer or other classrooms. The Health Sciences Library provides information and reservation procedures for study rooms and Harvey the Cardiopulmonary Patient Simulator.

How can I use Audio Visual equipment for a presentation?

Classroom Technology Support manages Audio Visual equipment in most auditoriums and classrooms on campus. Rooms must be reserved through the 25Live program.

Can I rent a computer or laptop instead of using one in the Library?

12 loaner laptops running Windows 7 are available on a first-come, first-serve basis via a kiosk on the 2nd floor of the Hammer building. Valid Columbia ID is required to check out, please see full information here.
