How can I find out about using Medline and PubMed?

The CUMC IT Service Desk can answer basic questions regarding the use of most programs, but if you need more assistance we suggest you contact a Reference Librarian. Also see the class calendar; there are currently weekly classes for Medline, PubMed and CINAHL.

Is there a public fax machine available?

You may send and receive faxes from at the Circulation Desk on the lobby level of the Medical Center Library. See for details.

Where can I scan files?

There are two Multifunction Printers in the Hammer building that have scanning capabilities, one in the Library Lobby and one on the 2nd floor near the Microcomputer Lab. A email address is required, any scans will be sent as an attachment to an email message. See the Copying and Scanning at CUMC web site for full information.

How can I reserve the Computer Classroom or Harvey?

The Resource 25 WebViewer form must be used to reserve the Computer Classroom. For information on reserving Harvey, please see the HSL Harvey web site.

What if I have special software I need to use on the Lab or Classroom computers for my class?

Please see Classroom Technology Support's Equipment and Software page for full information. You will need to provide all required licensing and installation media.

How can I rent Audio Visual equipment for a presentation?

Classroom Technology Support is able to supply some Audio Visual equipment.

Can I rent a computer or laptop instead of using one in the Library?

We currently do not loan or rent out computers or laptops for staff. The Computer Lounge near the entrance to the Library allows 24 hour access to computers on the CUMC campus.
