Computer Training

Computer training is offered by various groups at Columbia. Please visit the Columbia University Libraries Workshops site, or the Human Resources Learning and Development site for details about training offered for the Columbia community.

Skills @ Columbia provides online courses and books covering a breadth of topics, from commonly used software to advanced programming, design, industry certification preparation, and general business and management skills. Simply select the "Launch Skills @ Columbia Now" link on the Skills @ Columbia page and log in with your UNI and password.
  • To see courses either use the "Search for" field towards the top of the page, or select the "Catalog of Courses" link at to the left to browse all courses. You can browse computer and software courses by expanding the Course Curricula folder and selecting your preferred language.
  • For books select on the Books24x7 link in the upper right corner after logging in.

Columbia also has access to tutorials in the lynda.com Online Training Library, which covers a wide range of programs from Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint to Flash, iDVD, Illustrator, Mac OS, Twitter and many more. Login with your UNI and password at: http://www.lynda.com/portal/columbia
