Classroom Technology Support - Audio Visual Support

As of July 1st, 2009, Classroom Technology Support (CTS) is only able to provide audio/visual support for events specifically related to academic courses in CTS managed rooms. This includes initial set up of special equipment if needed and any technical issues that may arise in these rooms during the course or event.

CUMC IT and CUMC Central Administration are making significant investment in upgrading and standardizing the 45 classrooms and Alumni Auditorium, with the intention of making the A/V equipment both state-of-the-art and user-friendly. By September 2009, all rooms except Alumni Auditorium will be upgraded; Alumni Auditorium is scheduled to be completed by January 2010.

Operating and Training on AV Equipment
Anyone using a CTS managed room is expected to be able to operate the equipment, or have a TA that is familiar with equipment available to assist them. Outside vendors can also be contacted if you would like to have an A/V technician present during your event, or will need to request equipment that we are not able to provide; please see below for a list of vendors. Training on the equipment is available in many forms: Audio Visual Vendor Support
