There are two wireless networks on the CUMC campus, with availability only in specific areas. The Athens network is encrypted and requires special configuration on the computer, in addition to logging in with a UNI and password each time you would like to connect. The guest-net wireless network is not encrypted and does not require special configuration or login, however many intranet sites and applications cannot be accessed when using guest-net.
Service Description
Available wireless locations on campus can be found by clicking here. Not all locations have all three networks available as noted on the site. Connecting to guest-net requires that you agree to the Terms and Conditions and Acceptable Use page that will appear after you first connect and open your web browser; only basic services such as web browsing and email are allowed on guest-net.
The encrypted Athens network must be configured based on your computer's operating systems and the instructions linked on the Wireless web site, not all operating systems are supported.
