Most audio visual equipment on campus is installed in classrooms, auditoriums and conference rooms, with the majority of the rooms using a standardized touch panel system to control the installed equipment. A limited staff of A/V technicians can provide support for non-standard equipment set up and assistance if issues arise with equipment during an event, however instructors, faculty, speakers and/or TAs are expected to be able to run equipment without a technician present. Some non-standard equipment can be requested as well.
Classrooms, Auditoriums and many Conference Rooms on campus are scheduled by CUMC IT's Classroom Technology Support group. Room reservations for academic and other event use can be requested online, with many rooms including standard computing and audio/visual equipment available for use.
Properly licensed, compatible software that is required for courses can be installed on any of the computers in classrooms, labs and auditoriums managed by Classroom Technology Support. Installation media, proof of proper licensing and at least 2 weeks notice is required.
