Title: Micronutrient Supplement Summit: What Should Health Professionals Recommend and How Should They Decide?
Course Director(s): Sharon R. Akabas, Ph.D., Richard J. Deckelbaum, M.D. and Katherine Tucker, Ph.D.
Join us at the IHN on Saturday, October 26, 2013, for a day of learning about the micronutrient status your patients and how to close the gap on shortfall nutrients. Topics will include assessing vulnerable groups, evaluation of micronutrient supplement quality and safety, as well as discussions about vitamin D, calcium, magnesium and omega-3 fatty acids. Following the symposium, attendees will better understand how to counsel their patients about dietary patterns and supplement use.
