Structure of the Program

There are letters of agreement between the primary institution and the participating institutions.  The period of assignment of residents to the participating institutions (including financial arrangement and details of insurance and benefits) are provided to each institution.  Each institution is made aware of the goals and objectives of the program in writing.  All the participating institutions are accredited by Joint Commission.

The major part of the training is at Harlem Hospital (Primary Institution) and Woodhull Hospital (Integrated Institution). Affiliated hospitals are New York Presbyterian Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital.  A Prototype of the 5 year rotation in the various disciplines is shown below:
