Detail:
Extending Discussions Beyond the Classroom. This session offered by Michael Cennamo and Adrienne Garber, educational technologists at the Columbia Center for New Media, Teaching and Learning (CCNMTL), examines how course-based discussion can be improved and extended through pedagogical design and Web 2.0 communication tools. The session is ideal for faculty who are interested in discovering new ways to stimulate and control discussion both inside and outside of the classroom by using tools such as polls, surveys, discussion boards, blogs, tweets, and audience response systems (such as clickers).
