Temporary Water Shutdown in Hammer, 7 p.m. Aug. 13 to 7 a.m. Aug. 14

Due to repairs, from 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, through 7 a.m., Thursday, August 14, there will be no water in the Hammer Health Sciences Center. During this time, hot and cold water will be unavailable throughout the building. Restrooms in the Hammer building will also be inoperable during that time; should you need to use a restroom during the shutdown, the closest restrooms are located across the street in the William Black Building.

Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) requests that all laboratory work with hazardous substances be suspended during the shutdown due to the lack of available water for emergency eyewashes, handheld deluge hoses, and overhead emergency showers. EH&S also requests that each laboratory perform their routine, weekly performance test on each emergency eyewash and handheld deluge hose once the shutdown is complete to verify proper equipment function.
