Bard Hall Local Law 11

Construction work at the east and north elevations has been completed. Work on the west façade continues and should be complete mid-March, weather permitting, at which time work on the south elevation will begin. Architect and Contractor inspections of the west and south façades continue. Please make sure that your window blinds are closed during the day for privacy. Please excuse the noise while this work is being performed.

 

Local Law 11 Inspections

Façade inspections will occur this week at Tower 3, 154 Haven Avenue, and 309 Fort Washington Avenue. Inspections for Tower 3 and 390 Fort Washington Avenue are scheduled for Wednesday, March 8. Inspections for 154 Haven are scheduled for Wednesday, March 8, and Thursday, March 9. In the event that inspections are delayed due to weather, additional dates are scheduled for March 10, 15 and 16. Please make sure that your window blinds are closed during this time for privacy. Please excuse the noise while this work is being performed.

 

Towers 2 and 3 Dryers

Temporary dryers are installed in both Towers 2 and 3 temp locations.  The Engineer and Architect are preparing design documents for the permanent dryer installations. Upon selecting a contractor, we will issue an installation schedule.  

 

Tower 3 Roof and Exhaust Fan Replacement

The existing exhaust fans servicing the Tower 3 bathrooms, kitchens and corridor will be replaced with new fans and the roof will be replaced in its entirety. Demolition is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 6. Please note that contractors will continue to access the roof until the project is complete. Please excuse the noise while this work is being performed.

 

Tower 2- 28th & 29th Floor Office Renovation

The existing office spaces located in Tower 2 on the 28th and 29th floors are being renovated back to apartments. Construction continues through to April. Please excuse the noise while this work is being performed. Site protection has been installed.

 

Tower 2- 26th & 27th Floor Office Renovation

The existing office spaces located in Tower 2 on the 26th and 27th floors are being renovated back to apartments. Demolition continues and will be completed on 03/14/17. Demolition may get loud on the week of 03/06/17. Construction will start on 03/15/17 and will last through May. Please excuse the noise while this work is being performed. Site protection has been installed.  

 

Towers 2 & 3 Fire Alarm Upgrade

The fire alarm system will be upgraded in the basement and garage levels of Towers 2 & 3. Work on the B4 level is at a stopping point for now, however, continues on the B3 level. Please excuse the noise while this work is being performed.

 

Towers 1, 2 & 3 Egress Sign Installation

Sign installation at Towers 1, 2&3 stairs A & B continues and is at 50% completion. Total completion is estimated to occur on the week of 03/13/17. Please note that this work will not be noisy.
