Our Projects
Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC) Facilities Department manages and supports more than 3.0 million gross square feet of space. Capital Project Management (CPM) provides the design and construction services to renovate and modernize existing laboratories, clinical spaces, vivaria, offices, classrooms, as well as maintain and update residential properties and support service areas. Requests for renovation projects can range in size from small cosmetic projects up to $50,000 to large scale, full floor gut renovations. In 2010, CPM completed one hundred and twenty-seven (127) major capital projects (with total project budgets of $250,000+), of which thirty-one percent (31%) were wet laboratory renovation projects.
The following are examples of recently completed renovation projects for various schools and departments at CUMC.
