Yvonne Wojcicki, MS MT (ASCP)
Yvonne Wojcicki is the Director of Compliance for Facilities Management at Columbia University Medical Center. Ms. Wojcicki joined Columbia University in October 2009. As Director of Compliance Yvonne leads the development and implementation of the facilities department’s compliance program including the surveillance and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to: OSHA, EPA, NYS DEC, NYC DEP, FDNY, ADA. In addition, she is responsible for educating internal and external stakeholders on facilities regulatory/compliance matters.
Ms. Wojcicki is a seasoned healthcare professional with expertise in safety and emergency preparedness, environmental compliance, education and clinical laboratory science. She is a certified Six Sigma “Green Belt” with an extensive professional background. She received her MS in Community Health from Long Island University, and her BS in Medical Technology from St. John’s University.

Adam Light
Adam Light is a Facilities Compliance Manager at Columbia University Medical Center. Mr. Light joined Columbia University in March 2011. As a Facilities Compliance Manager, Adam has the responsibility for managing and supporting all phases of compliance within the Facilities Management department.
Prior to joining Columbia University Medical Center, Mr. Light worked in Columbia’s Environmental Health and Safety Department in the role of Hazardous Materials Officer where he worked closely with the laboratories helping to manage their hazardous waste streams while promoting safety and compliance.
Mr. Light attended New Jersey City University and is furthering his education in safety and health related topics.

Brian Byrne
Brian Byrne is a Facilities Compliance Manager at Columbia University Medical Center. Mr. Byrne joined Columbia University in March 2010. As a Facilities Compliance Manager, Brian has the responsibility for managing and supporting all phases of compliance within the Facilities Management department.
Prior to joining Columbia University Medical Center, Mr. Byrne spent 24 years in the New York City Fire Department retiring as Captain of Ladder 31 in the South Bronx. He is currently a member of the NYC Fire Safety Director’s Association.
Mr. Byrne holds a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY at Oneonta. He is currently enrolled in the Sustainability Management Master’s Program at Columbia University.

Jose Castillo
Jose Castillo is a Facilities Compliance Manager at Columbia University Medical Center. Mr. Castillo joined the Facilities Compliance Team in February 2010. As a Facilities Compliance Manager, Jose has the responsibility for managing and supporting all phases of compliance within the Facilities Management department.
Mr. Castillo has been a dedicated employee of Columbia University Medical Center since 1996. He held a support services position before joining the Environmental Health and Safety Department in the role of Fire Safety Specialist where he worked until transitioning into an expansive role as a Facilities Operation Supervisor in the Facilities Management department.
Mr. Castillo maintains numerous certifications with the NYC Fire Department and is eager to continue his education in Facilities Engineering.
