Emergency Command Center

In case of an emergency, an Emergency Command Center will be activated under the direction of CUMC administration. The CUMC Chief Operating Officer or his /her designee will direct the activities of the Emergency Command Center. The individual directing the Center will be designated as the Emergency Director and will activate the Emergency Command Center based upon his/her assessment of a particular situation that will have been brought to his/her attention -- usually by Facilities Management or Public Safety.

The Emergency Director will identify the individuals that he/she wants to be contacted and who shall report to the Emergency Command Center. The Emergency Director is responsible for managing the dissemination of all resources needed for dealing with the emergency.

When the Emergency Command Center is to be activated, the priority location is the Facilities Conference Room located in the Black Basement, B-14. This location has emergency power and access to emergency telephones.
