Programs

Through its IFAP Abroad initiative, the IFAP Global Health Program facilitates the involvement of students across all four schools of the Columbia University Medical Center in global health experiences and projects. Students are matched with partnering international organizations to complete research projects, program planning & evaluation, and clinical rotations, while experiencing the language and culture of their host country first hand.

The IFAP Global is Local initiative provides students with morningmedical Spanish or Chinese classes followed by a variety of clinical, health education, service learning and cultural immersion activities in the afternoons. These activities allow students to practice Spanish in clinical and nonclinical settings within Latin American communities throughout Washington Heights.
