Global Health Research for Undergraduates Program

A collaboration between Columbia College’s Office of Global Programs and IFAP has launched a research-based, year-long program targeted at undergraduate students. The Global Health Research for Undergraduates Program will provide hands-on skill-building and research training in resource-poor areas for 8 students in 2016.

Introduction to Global Health: The Dr. Edgar Housepian Global Health Lecture Series

This course, formatted in a semester long lecture series, exposes CUMC students to the most pertinent issues in global health today. Experts in specific global health fields, such as HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention, tobacco use, or emergency obstetrics, provide an overview of the issues, discuss the results of their research, and guide students in navigating careers in global health. All CUMC students are encouraged to apply. Please email to request an application. The Series is held from September to December annually.

Research Methods in Global Health Course

February 15th, 2016 marks the first lecture of the Research Methods in Global health Course taught at P&S. The seven week course provides an overview of the fundamentals of research study design, methodologies, data collection, and data analysis, with an emphasis on its application in global health research. All students of CUMC are welcome to apply. Please email to request an application.

MS/MD Dual Degree Program at P&S
