ROTATIONS

Nearly all of the four-year training program is spent in the main department at Columbia-Presbyterian. Residents can also expect to spend approximately two rotations being exposed to the practice of general diagnostic radiology in a community hospital setting (our own Allen Pavilion located two miles north of the main hospital on part of Columbia University’s campus.)

Residents may choose to use elective time to pursue research interests or to develop additional expertise in subspecialty areas in which they are particularly interested. Special programs involving elective time also will be considered if they are approved by the American Board of Radiology. Each resident takes the Radiology-Pathology correlation course at the AFIP.
