Biography

Edward L. Nickoloff, D. Sc., is Professor of Radiology in Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Professor of Clinical Radiology in Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health/Environmental Sciences.  Since 1981, Dr. Nickoloff has been the Chief Hospital Physicist in the Department of Radiology of Columbia University Medical Center.  Dr. Nickoloff has received numerous awards for his work in radiology physics, including the Sadek K. Hilal Faculty Research Award from Columbia University in 2001, and Best Diagnostic Physics Journal Article from the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics in 2004 and 2005.  Dr. Nickoloff is a former president of Radiological and Medical Physics Society of New York and former Chairman of American College of Medical Physics.  Dr. Nickoloff publishes prolifically and is a frequent guest-presenter at various symposia on diagnostic radiology, radiation dosimetry, and radiology physics.
