Musculoskeletal Radiology

 

 

The MSK division is directed by Dr. Frieda Feldman, M.D., FACR, who is a Professor of Radiology and in Orthopeadics, Dr. Ronald Staron, who is a Clinical Professor of Radiology and Dr. Martin Prince, M.D. Phd who directs MRA Body Imaging.

 

The MSK division benefits from a large and diverse case load reflecting a wide range of medical specialties. Orthopeadic subspecialties include Sports Medicine, Trauma, Tumors and Prosthetics. The section also benefits from active Metabolic, Oncologic and Rheumatologic Services.

 

The Department's equipment consists of 7 MRIs, a 3T MRI, and 6 CT scanners, including a 16-slice and 64-slice units with a spiral CT for Biopsies and other interventional work. Voice-activated transcription technology (Powerscribe) and department-wide PACS are utilized.

The Division offers a one year full time MSK Fellowship and another one year Fellowship divided between MSK and MRA with six months on each rotation. Clinical and/or basic research is encouraged. The Fellowship has been recognized by the American Board of Radiology and is sponsored by the College of Physicians and Surgeons. A certificate is

awarded on completion.
