BODY MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING

Body Magnetic Resonance Imaging including MR Angiography and Cardiac MR has a team of specialized technologists, fellows, and faculty who concentrate on providing the high caliber, state of the art imaging on MR scanners that are equipped with all the latest techniques and capabilities.  Dedicated scanner times where faculty are available to supervise the scanning ensure that image quality is optimized and customized to address the clinical issues in each patient.  There are also numerous ongoing research projects related to developing new techniques and analyzing the different patterns of imaging findings with existing techniques.  Research support is also provided for trials initiated by other departments and other centers which require the capability of MRI in their patient evaluation screening.

Ongoing plans for acquisition of additional scanners and for continuing to upgrade the existing scanners are underway to make sure that we maintain state of the art capability.  There are also opportunities for our residents and fellows of the highest caliber to participate in MR training programs.
